If you are competing in a professional car race, there are three ways of driving - you could focus on the side-wall or, you could focus on the other cars, or you could focus on the road.

The coaches would tell you that if you focus on the other cars, you will be left behind, eventually. If you focus too much on the wall, you will drive straight into the wall, inevitably. The key for a successful driver is to always focus on the road, especially when you go around a turn.

I feel similarly about our next phase of the journey. We could either worry about distractions (like the competition doing part-inventory) or the other things not in our control (like what would happen in the pos-COVID world). Or, we could just focus on the road ahead of us. Just continue moving forward by obsessively solving for the customer and relentlessly building the most loved travel network and now the SAAS business too.

We, as a company, have taken a small pitstop and fuelled up. Congratulations to everyone, we couldn’t have done this without you. As I think of the path ahead, the only thought going on in my mind is this - Focus on the road, forget everything else. Do few things and do them well.
